Questions people ask about this
Will automating Instagram get my account restricted?
Not through us. Restrictions come from unofficial automation — libraries that drive a logged-in session and look like a bot to Meta's systems. This uses the official Instagram Messaging API, authorised through Facebook Login, which is the mechanism Meta built for exactly this.
Does it need an Instagram business account?
A professional account — Business or Creator — linked to a Facebook Page. A personal account cannot receive messages over the API at all; that is Meta's restriction, not ours. Converting is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app.
Can it reply to story mentions?
Yes. Story replies and mentions arrive as messages in the same thread as the person's DMs, so the history stays in one place rather than splitting into a separate surface.
What if two people in my team open the same conversation?
Both see it, and both see what the other has sent, because it is one thread rather than a copy each. Assign it to a person when you want it to be clearly somebody's.
